Highlights from Glentoran against Warrenpoint from The Oval

Jordan Stewart scored a spectacular goal and David Scullion netted a second-half double as Glentoran saw off Warrenpoint Town at the Oval.

Stewart struck home a long-range left-foot piledriver into the top corner past Jonathan Parr after 41 minutes.

The Glens controlled much of the second period and Scullion tapped home after latching onto a Stephen McAlorum pass in the 72nd minute.

Scullion added his second with a neat left-foot finish five minutes later.

Scullion had missed a good opportunity in the first half when he mis-kicked when well placed.

After teenager Stewart had broken the deadlock, Darren King was forced to clear off the line and Johnny Addis fired over the bar.

In the closing stages, Stewart was wide with a left-foot effort and Parr blocked a Marcus Kane attempt.

The Glens remain in touch with the leaders in fourth place, while Warrenpoint stay 11th.
