Gary Johnson: Yeovil Town must 'catch up' in Championship

Yeovil Town must "catch up" with other Championship teams off the field, according to manager Gary Johnson.
The Glovers have risen from non-league football to the second tier in 10 years and have the smallest budget in their division - thought to be £1m.
"If we stay in the Championship, we can't always be scrimping and scraping for things other club's take for granted," Johnson told BBC Points West.
"I just don't think we're catching up quick enough."
Since their promotion via the League One play-offs last season, Yeovil have been able to add Premier League loan players to their squad, including Everton's Shane Duffy and former West Brom striker Ishmael Miller- who joined from Nottingham Forest.
But they still rely on borrowing training facilities from local schools, and have been waiting for three years for permission to build a retail development on their old training pitches.
Johnson continued: "Everybody here tries really hard but we've got to start catching up.
"I'm talking about upgrading everything.
"You've got to make sure the fans are comfortable and the players are comfortable, if you're bringing them in from the Premier League.
"You've got to make sure the training ground is right, the pitch is right, along with the hotels they stay in."
Yeovil are one of only six teams in the second tier who have never played in the Premier League and although they are third from bottom, a run of three unbeaten games has moved them to within two points of safety.
"Nearly every team in the Championship is ex-Premiership so they've all had £50m to spend over two or three years," he added.
"Obviously that gives them the infrastructure you need. There aren't many teams like us. The quality is there to be seen.
"I'm just really pleased our clubs are part of it at the moment and we're not being walked over."
