Liverpool Ladies: Gemma Davison joins Reds from Arsenal

Champions Liverpool Ladies have made Arsenal forward Gemma Davison their second signing ahead of their 2014 FA Women's Super League title defence.

Davison, 26, follows former Lincoln and current England Under-19s defender Martha Harris to Merseyside.

The former Watford junior had four spells with the Gunners.

She has also played for New York Magic, Chicago Red Eleven, Buffalo Flash, Western New York Flash and Sky Blue FC in the United States.

Liverpool secured their first Super League title in September beating Bristol 2-0 on the final day of the season, ending a decade of domination by Arsenal.

More signings are expected at the Merseyside club with manager Matt Beard determined to build on last year's success in preparation for entry into the 2014-15 UEFA Women's Champions League.
