Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta has committed his future to the club by signing a new three-year contract.
Iniesta's previous deal at the Nou Camp was set to expire in 18 months' time, although Barcelona were always keen to hold on to the Spain international.
Barcelona president Sandro Rosell confirmed the deal and claimed Iniesta, 29, has plenty of years left.
"He will stay with us until 2018 and he could renew every year after that based on his playing performances," he said.
Iniesta has made 479 appearances for the Catalan club, who he joined from Albacete as a 12-year-old in 1996 and has won the Champions League three times and the La Liga title on six occasions.
He has also won the European Championship trophy with Spain twice and scored the extra-time winner in the 2010 World Cup final, external against Holland in South Africa.
