St Johnstone to appeal Paddy Cregg red card

St Johnstone will appeal against Paddy Cregg's red card in Saturday's goalless draw with Hibs.

The Irish midfielder was sent off by referee Alan Muir for a challenge on Paul Cairney just 34 seconds after replacing the injured Murray Davidson.

The Perth say they have written to the Scottish Football Association to contest the dismissal.

Cregg's sending off came a week after Rory Fallon was dismissed less than a minute after coming against Aberdeen.
