Paul Gallagher: Leicester striker to remain at Preston North End

Preston have extended Leicester forward Paul Gallagher's loan spell at the club until the end of the season.

The 29-year-old returned to Deepdale in October, following a previous loan spell during the 2007-08 season.

Gallagher has appeared six times since joining North End, his three goals all coming in a 6-0 victory over non-league Barnet in the FA Cup first round.

"His qualities have already been evident in the games he's played," boss Simon Grayson told Preston's website.

"He can play a big part between now and the end of the season."
