Jamie Glackin scores the equaliser as Dungannon hit back to seal a 1-1 draw away to Ballinamallard.

Ballinamallard and Dungannon took a point apiece from a keenly contested Boxing Day encounter at Ferney Park.

Stuart Hutchinson broke the deadlock on 32 minutes, scrambling the ball into the net for his third goal of the season after the ball broke to him.

Andy Crawford was denied by the post and Jamie Glackin levelled, getting the decisive touch to steer the ball into the net in the 82nd minute.

Dungannon drop to eighth spot in the Premiership, with the Mallards ninth.

The Swifts went into the game having shown good recent form away from home, picking up 10 points from a possible 12, but with leading goal-scorer Darren Boyce on the bench.

Darren Murphy's side should have taken the lead when Johnny Topley side-footed wide from six yards from Stefan Lavery's pinpoint cross.

Jason McCartney blazed over the bar for the Mallards before Hutchinson steered in the opener.

Striker Crawford struck the woodwork before the break and the home side were made to pay when Glackin equalised.
