Colin Cooper: Hartlepool set to keep Burgess and Dolan

Hartlepool manager Colin Cooper says midfielder Matty Dolan and centre-half Christian Burgess are likely to remain on loan from Middlesbrough until May.

Currently, Burgess's deal expires on Monday, and Dolan will depart after the New Year's Day clash with Bury.

Between them, they have played 50 times since joining Pools in August.

"I met with Middlesbrough and they're happy for the boys to stay, it's just a matter of finalising paperwork before the Bury game," Cooper told BBC Tees.
