Jack Grealish says Notts County have extended loan from Aston Villa

Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish has said he will be staying on loan with Notts County until the summer.

The 18-year-old said via twitter on Monday he has signed with the League One side until the end of the season.

But the deal is yet to be finalised, with the Magpies saying they are awaiting confirmation from Villa.

Grealish added: "I thank other League [One] and Championship clubs for the interest but at the moment Notts County is the best place for my development."

Notts have made it clear that they want to keep Grealish and fellow loanee Callum McGregor.

Both have stood out for the Magpies despite a turbulent season, which saw Shaun Derry replace manager Chris Kiwomya in November.
