Joss Labadie: Torquay United contest charge in biting inquiry
- Published
Torquay have confirmed they will defend midfielder Joss Labadie against the Football Association's misconduct charge for an alleged biting incident.
It followed an investigation into an incident that "constituted violent conduct" during last month's match against Chesterfield.
"It's a denial from the club and from myself of any wrongdoing," Gulls boss Chris Hargreaves told BBC Radio Devon.
"From what I've seen, I don't know how they can get to that conclusion."
Hargreaves revealed that apart from English football's governing body informing them of the charge, they had not been made officially aware of the investigation.
"We've had no contact from anybody, other than the FA charging," Hargreaves added.
