Crewe Alexandra 1-1 Oldham Athletic

Harry Davis's injury-time header earned Crewe Alexandra a valuable point against fellow strugglers Oldham.

Adam Lockwood headed wide for Oldham early on, before on-loan debutant Joel Byrom shot across the face of goal.

The Latics finally broke the deadlock when Gary Harkins cut in from the left of the area and struck in at the near post following good work from James Wesolowski and Jonson Clarke-Harris.

But Davis headed home George Evans' corner at the back post for the draw.

Steve Davis's Crewe are now just a point away from safety, while Oldham lie two points above the drop zone.

Oldham manager Lee Johnson told BBC Radio Manchester:

"It feels like a sucker punch because we played so well and defended so solidly throughout the game.

"Overall, there was some superb play from us - nice and solid and we broke well.

"There was a lot of good things and I think our passing was good on a poor pitch."
