Montrose 0-2 Clyde
- Published
Clyde moved closer to securing a promotion play-off place with a convincing win that extends managerless Montrose's run without a victory.
Michael Daly put the visitors into the lead after connecting with Stefan McCluskey's cross in the 21st minute.
McCluskey netted his 12th of the season from the penalty spot, six minutes later, after Colin Wilson fouled the Clyde forward.
McCluskey and Pat Scallion both missed chances to extend the lead.
The Gable Endies' Bryan Deasley missed the target from close range after the break, while Garry Wood came close to a consolation but shot over.
It means Clyde leapfrog Stirling Albion into third place and are five points above fifth-placed Berwick Rangers with two games remaining.
