Montrose 2-1 Annan Athletic

Managerless Montrose beat promotion hopefuls Annan Athletic thanks to goals from Bryan Deasley and Gary Wood.

Top-scorer Deasley gave the Gable Endies the lead in the 29th minute from six yards.

Annan striker David Hopkirk fired the equaliser in the 74th minute when he latched onto a back-heel from Blair Henderson.

But Montrose were not to be denied as Gary Wood scored from the left side of the penalty area two minutes later.

Jim Chapman's Annan side remain in second place going into their last game but are now without a win in three as they approach the promotion play-offs.
