Burton Albion are discussing personal terms with Stevenage forward Lucas Akins, BBC Radio Derby reports.

The 25-year-old only signed a new 12-month contract with Stevenage last month, but the Brewers have agreed a fee and hope to make the forward their third signing of the summer.

Burton have already signed midfielder John Mousinho and defender George Taft.

Akins, who began his career at Huddersfield, scored five goals in 37 appearances last season.
