Dagenham & Redbridge have signed Colchester goalkeeper Mark Cousins and Tonbridge Angels defender Nathan Green.

Cousins, 27, did not feature for the U's last season and has signed a two-year deal with the Daggers.

The keeper, who turned down a new deal at Colchester to move to east London, made a total of 70 appearances for the Essex club.

Green, 23, who can play at full-back and on the wing, has agreed a one-year contract with the League Two side.

He started his career at Croydon Athletic and subsequently had spells at Lewes and Billericay Town before joining Conference South side Tonbridge in January 2013.

"We've been tracking Nathan for a couple of months and we've had numerous reports on him," Dagenham manager Wayne Burnett told the club website., external

"He's a bit raw, but I see potential in him and see attributes in him that can see him become a League player."
