Daniel Carrico: Reading defender signs for for Sevilla

Carrico made 30 appearances for Sevilla last season whilst on loan and scored twice

Reading defender Daniel Carrico has joined Sevilla on a permanent deal following a season-long loan.

The centre-back, 25, joined the Royals from Sporting Lisbon in December 2012 but made just one start and two substitute appearances in 2013.

Carrico played a big part in Sevilla's Europa League triumph last season.

"Carrico went to Spanish football, which has been a great fit for him, and has done well," director of football Nick Hammond told Reading's website.
