Kyle Lafferty: Northern Ireland striker has medical at Norwich

Lafferty has spent one season at Italian side Palermo

Norwich City are close to finalising a move for Northern Ireland and Palermo striker Kyle Lafferty.

BBC Radio Norfolk understands the 26-year-old has completed a medical at Carrow Road.

The deal to take Lafferty to Norwich would involve a fee as he has two years remaining on his contract at the Serie B side.

Lafferty started his career at Burnley before a £3m move to Rangers in 2008 and a spell at Swiss club Sion in 2012.

He has nine goals from 37 caps for Northern Ireland and scored 10 times in 83 league games for Burnley.

The Enniskillen-born forward made 137 appearances during four years at Rangers, scoring 38 goals.
