Hartlepool United boss Colin Cooper says striker Luke James remains part of his plans.

The 19-year-old has handed in two transfer requests and was not part of Pools' win at AFC Wimbledon after missing training last week.

James, who has been linked with Peterborough, has resumed training and could play at Cheltenham on Saturday.

"As far as I'm concerned he is part of the squad going forward," Cooper told BBC Tees.

"We just crack on.

"I have addressed it by having the conversation that I wanted to have had with him and I have had two or three in the last few days."

Hartlepool academy product James had his contract extended in May and has made 97 senior appearances for the League Two side, scoring 20 goals.
