QPR have signed Liverpool left-back Jack Robinson for an undisclosed fee and have immediately loaned him to Huddersfield.

The England under 21 international has signed a four-year deal with Rangers but will spend the first of them in the Championship.

QPR boss Harry Redknapp said that Robinson, 20, is "one for the future".

He added: "He'll continue his development at Huddersfield, where I'm sure he'll do well."

Robinson, who had a successful loan spell at Blackpool last season, was allowed to leave the Reds after they signed £12m Spanish defender Alberto Moreno.

"It was an easy decision for me to go for a new challenge," said Robinson. "Hopefully I can do well and establish myself as a Premier League player in the future."
