Scunthorpe United have signed Peterborough United defender Shaun Brisley on a one-month deal.

The 24-year-old has featured five times for the Posh this season, scoring in August's defeat by Sheffield United.

He could make his debut for the Iron, who are currently 22nd in League One, in Saturday's trip to Oldham.

Scunthorpe boss Russ Wilcox told the club website:, external "We were surprised to have been able to get him but it is great to have him on board."
