Oldham came from behind to beat Walsall and extend their unbeaten run to 10 matches in all competitions.

The Saddlers took an early lead through Jordan Cook, after Andy Butler's long ball caught out the home defence.

Cook went close on two occasions but Oldham equalised through Conor Wilkinson's deflected drive.

Jabo Ibehre almost scored on his debut for Oldham before Mike Jones produced a stunning 25-yard drive to seal the win for the Latics.

Oldham Athletic manager Lee Johnson told BBC Radio Manchester:

Johnson on Oldham v Walsall

"We've got a team that the fans can believe in. That is what we ask for as we talk about one team, one dream.

"I don't think we look powder puff now. Last year there were times when, maybe, we looked a bit powder puff.

"We tried to tick a few boxes - we recruited really well and we got value with players.

"Every player that we have recruited is comfortable having an effect in the first team."
