Leyton Orient have now gone 13 away matches unbeaten after Jay Simpson and Darius Henderson scored in their victory at Doncaster.
Simpson's close-range finish after just two minutes gave the visitors the perfect start at the Keepmoat Stadium.
Rovers dominated for long spells and had claims for a penalty turned down after Elliot Omozusi appeared to handle the ball inside the area.
Henderson's wonderful strike from 25 yards completed victory for the O's.
Leyton Orient interim boss Kevin Nugent told BBC London 94.9:
"It was a good away performance by us and a group effort.
"Gradually, we are getting there with this team. I was pleased with so many individuals, but it was a collective performance.
"We are finding the form we know the players have got. Hopefully, we can keep climbing up the table."
