Coleraine's Mark Miskimmin scored a hat-trick against Institute

Mark Miskimmin bagged a treble as in-form Coleraine hammered Institute 4-0 in the Showgrounds league encounter.

David Ogilby got the final touch from Neil McCafferty's free-kick to put the hosts ahead and Miskimmin's low strike made it 2-0 after 66 minutes.

The striker finished from close-range before slotting home a late penalty after Institute's Mark Scoltock was red-carded for a last-man foul.

It was a sixth victory in eight games for Oran Kearney's improving side.

Ian Parkhill and Lyndon Kane went close for Coleraine before they scored a fortuitous opener on 31 minutes.

McCafferty floated over a free-kick and Obilgy's glancing header rebounded off an Institute defender and then himself before going in.

Institute rarely threatened as the Bannsiders dominated and Miskimmin made it count by netting from Shane McGinty's cut-back before Ruairi Harkin hit the woodwork.

Good work from Parkhill set up Miskimmin to add the third and he stepped up to take the spot-kick following Scoltock's straight red card to complete his hat-trick.
