Tomasz Kuszczak: Wolves sign former Manchester United keeper

Wolverhampton Wanderers have signed Poland international goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak on a short-term deal.

The 32-year-old was a free agent after being released by Brighton in June and has been on trial at Molineux.

Kuszczak had a three-year spell with West Bromwich Albion and was part of the Manchester United squad between 2007 and 2012.

He has signed a deal until January and is expected to be available for Wolves' game at Ipswich Town on Tuesday.

"I'm very pleased, I think it's a big club, and definitely a club that deserves to be in the Premier League," Kuszczak told the Wolves website.

"I tried to find a place for myself in football for the last couple of months. I've been training with several clubs and waiting for the right call.

"Wolves came and I decided to sign a contract here and I'm glad about that."

Kuszczak, who has 11 international caps, made 89 starts for Brighton following his move to the Amex Stadium as a free agent in 2012 after a loan spell with Watford.

He will provide extra cover for Wolves boss Kenny Jackett, with reserve goalkeeper Aaron McCarey currently out of action after an operation on his back.
