Reach has emerged as a regular first team player in Aitor Karanka's Boro side

Midfielder Adam Reach has signed a new four-and-a half-year contract with Championship side Middlesbrough.

The 21-year-old has established himself in the Boro first team this season with two goals in 18 appearances.

Prior to this term, the Chester-le-Street-born player spent time on loan at Bradford, Shrewsbury and Darlington.

"It's very good for Adam and it's very good for the team. He's a very good lad," head coach Aitor Karanka told the club website., external

"He has done well this season. He improves every week. He's good with the ball, he's powerful, and he's very good tactically."
