Calum Gallagher scored the only goal of the game as Cowdenbeath secured a vital three points against fellow Scottish Championship strugglers Livingston.

Chances were at a premium in a poor first half with neither side able to create many clear-cut opportunities.

Gallagher converted Sean Higgins' dangerous cross in the second half.

Livi goalkeeper Darren Jamieson denied Jon Robertson and Sean Higgins in quick succession before Jason Talbot passed up a chance for the visitors.
