Arsenal Ladies have re-signed England forward Lianne Sanderson.

The 26-year-old won five league titles and the FA Cup four times with the Gunners before joining Chelsea in 2008., external

She has subsequently spent time in the United States playing for Philadelphia Independence and DC United Women and rejoins Arsenal from Boston Breakers.

Sanderson, who has scored 13 goals in 40 international appearances, also had a loan spell at Cypriot side Apollon Limassol earlier this year.

"I'm so pleased to be coming back to the club I call home," she told the Arsenal Ladies website., external

"I've got some fantastic memories of playing for Arsenal such as winning the quadruple in 2007.

"I grew up learning the game at Arsenal since the age of eight and I get a real sense of pride every time I pull on the Arsenal shirt so I can't wait to get started."
