Greg Halford: Brighton extend Nottingham Forest defender's loan

Brighton's loanee defender Greg Halford scored five goals in 42 appearances for Nottingham Forest last season

Nottingham Forest's Greg Halford will stay on loan at Championship rivals Brighton & Hove Albion until 1 January.

The 29-year-old defender made two substitute appearances, totalling seven minutes since joining the club, and was due to return to Forest on 6 December.

He is one of seven loanees at the Amex, meaning manager Sami Hyypia must leave two of them out of each matchday squad.

New signing Darren Bent, Joao Teixeira, Ali Al Habsi, Elliott Bennett, Gary Gardner and Joe Bennett are the others.
