Chris Kane's early strike at Alloa Athletic's Indodrill Stadium helped Dumbarton claim just their second win in nine matches.

Kane's right-foot shot broke the deadlock after he was teed-up inside the box by Andrew Graham.

Earlier, the Sons almost fell behind when Stephen Simmons' effort rattled the frame of the goal.

Goalkeeper Danny Rogers helped keep Dumbarton's lead in tact when denied Greg Spence.
