Yeovil manager Gary Johnson put one over on son Lee as his Oldham side were well beaten at Boundary Park.
The Glovers took the lead when Stephen Arthurworrey fired in after seeing his initial header come back off the post.
Simon Gillett's right-footed effort made it two, before a defensive error from Genseric Kusunga allowed Sam Hoskins to shoot past Paddy Kenny.
A miserable afternoon for Oldham was complete when Kieffer Moore fired home from outside the box in injury time.
Yeovil manager Gary Johnson told BBC Radio Bristol:
"It was a super performance. They haven't lost too many games and we've seen them outplay a few teams here.
"We knew we had to be very strong, aggressive in our pressing and we did that and probably earned the first three goals in the first half because of it.
"We put them under pressure straight away and I'm really pleased that the lads have put into practice our game plan.
"We know that they can open teams up, they're very clinical. It's a nice three points going into these big games coming up."
