Kris Commons taking a risk over contract - Ronny Deila
- Published

Commons has not always been a regular in Deila's side this season
Celtic manager Ronny Deila believes Kris Commons is "taking a risk" if he sticks rigidly to his demands over a new contract.
Commons, 31, has been at Celtic since 2011 and is believed to want a two-year extension, rather than a one-year deal.
"Negotiation is to try and get an agreement and when you go into the media you have to be strict - this is normal procedure," said Deila.
Deila insists the midfielder had not been offered a one-year contract.
"We haven't offered him one year," said the Norwegian.
"[Chief executive] Peter[Lawwell] is talking with his agent and talking about the structure in the contract. That's where we are now."
