Ryan Gauld has already been called up for Scotland but did not feature in the Euro 2016 qualifiers

Ryan Gauld made his first team debut for Sporting Lisbon in Monday night's 2-0 win at Guimaraes.

The 19-year-old Scot played the entire 90 minutes of the Portuguese League Cup match, which was won thanks to goals from Heldon and Ousmane Drame.

Gauld moved to Sporting in a £3m summer switch from Dundee United.

He was included in the club's Champions League squad but had only played in the Sporting B team until Monday night's match.

Gauld, who signed a six-year deal with Sporting, has a 60m euro release clause in his contract.

The teenager has been a fixture for Scotland's youth teams and was called up to Gordon Strachan's national side for the Euro 2016 qualifiers against Georgia and Poland, although he did not feature.
