Gillingham have signed West Bromwich Albion defender Bradley Garmston on a one-month loan deal.

The 20-year-old left-back came through the Premier League club's youth system, but is yet to make his senior debut for the Baggies.

Meanwhile, Gills right-back Gavin Hoyte, who has made 17 appearances this season, has extended his contract with the League One club until 19 May.

The 24-year-old's short-term deal was due to expire on Sunday.

New signing Garmston had a loan spell with Colchester last season, featuring 13 times.

He is eligible to make his debut for the Gills in Saturday's League One game at home to Coventry City.

Garmston, a Republic of Ireland Under-21 international, is also eligible to play for the Kent club in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.
