Ghana vow to bounce back against Algeria

Ghana will take lessons learnt from their defeat by Senegal into their next match against Algeria on Friday
The Black Stars began their Africa Cup of Nations campaign with a dramatic 2-1 loss to the Teranga Lions on Monday.
But defender Jonathan Mensah has vowed to turn things around when they take on the Desert Foxes in Mongomo.
"As a team we didn't defend collectively and as individuals we take responsibility," Mensah told a news conference.
However, he rejected suggestions that the 3-5-2 formation used by new coach Avram Grant had caused them difficulties.
He said: "We were comfortable playing that formation - we didn't feel any differences or challenges.
"We'll do anything that the coach wants us to do on the pitch."
Striker Christian Atsu confirmed that the players had discussed where things had gone wrong against Senegal - and pinpointed a loss of concentration at the end.
"We need a winning mentality and a lot of concentration on the pitch." said Atsu.
He added: "We lost the game at the last minute and we have to correct our mistakes."
Although the winger admitted that the four-time African champions had suffered a serious blow with the loss against Senegal, he said they had the mental strength to bounce back.
"It's true we were really disappointed - the first day we weren't happy, but we believe that the tournament is still on and we still have hope; a chance to qualify."
Ghana against Algeria is the first of Friday's matches here.
The later game features Senegal - who like Algeria already have a win to their name - against South Africa.
Victories for Algeria and Senegal again will wrap up qualification from Group C with a game to spare.
Ghana say they are determined not to let that happen.
