Ross County have completed the signing of the released Celtic central defender Marcus Fraser.

The 20-year-old has committed until the end of the season to become manager Jim Mcintyre's third January recruit.

Fraser, a Scotland U21 international, made one start and one appearance as a substitute for Celtic.

He spent the first half of the this season on loan at Cowdenbeath, playing in 13 matches for the Championship team from Fife.

County are four points adrift at the foot of the Premiership and welcome leaders Celtic to Dingwall for Saturday's early kick-off.

And McIntyre is looking for a similar performance that earned his side a point at Celtic Park in December.

"Going forward, that is what is going to make or break our season, what we do at home," he told BBC Scotland.

"The players are fully aware that we're in a dogfight here. We need to stand up and be counted, especially in Dingwall.

"We've got to make sure that we're ultra-competitive and make sure that teams know they've been in a game here. In the last two games that's not been the case."
