Falkirk's Peter Houston has been named the Scottish Professional Football League's Championship manager of the month for the second time in a row.

Houston guided his side to an unbeaten January and they are now just one point off the promotion play-off spots.

The Bairns beat Alloa Athletic and Hearts in January and picked up draws against Hibernian, Queen of the South and Dumbarton.

Former Dundee United manager Houston took over at Falkirk in June 2014.

The Bairns are currently fifth in the Championship table, a point behind Queens and will face the Dumfries side in the quarter-finals of the Scottish Cup next month.
