Yeovil Town 0-1 Walsall

Walsall rallied from successive defeats to win a game of two missed penalties at League One bottom club Yeovil.

Tom Bradshaw had a first-half spot-kick saved by Yeovil keeper Scott Loach, who had brought down on-loan Jordy Hiwula.

But, within three minutes, Hiwula hit the only goal of the game, cutting in from the left before firing past Loach.

Yeovil were awarded a penalty too when Ben Purkiss felled Joel Grant, but substitute Adam Morgan saw his spot-kick saved by Richard O'Donnell.

Yeovil remain six points from safety, while Walsall, who were missing both Jordan Cook and Anthony Forde with groin injuries, move back to within five points of the play-offs.

Walsall manager Dean Smith told BBC WM:

"It was one of those days where the ball didn't go in the back of the net as often as it should, but it was a good performance on a fantastic surface.

"We were excellent in the first half. We should have been out of sight at the break. We knew it would be different in the second half and they had chances.

"Both keepers had saves to make but it would have been a travesty had we not taken home all three points. We got the three points in the end and that's all that mattered."
