Fleetwood Town 1-0 Rochdale

Josh Morris scored his third goal in three games to keep Fleetwood in the play-off hunt with a win over Rochdale.

The first half provided little goalmouth action as Rochdale struggled to break down a stout Fleetwood side.

Morris shot just wide before he broke the deadlock with a shot from the edge of the area which found the far corner.

Fleetwood substitute Liam McAlinden forced keeper Jamie Jones to scramble clear, before Stewart Murdoch hit the woodwork with a 20-yard effort.

Rochdale manager Keith Hill told BBC Radio Manchester:

Hill on Fleetwood v Rochdale

"I had forgotten it was 1-0 to the opposition to be honest. I think it was a performance that deserved more than being beaten.

"Because of the way we played and because of the way we dominated possession, if we are guilty of one thing it's probably not dominating enough of the opportunities.

"We've just been very negligent in front of goal or from the edge of the box with respect to taking shots when players should have done instead of trying to pass it so that disappoints me but the performance doesn't."
