Scotland 2-1 South Korea: Late goal seals Cyprus Cup win

Christie Murray's late goal gave Scotland their first victory of the 2015 Cyprus cup with a 2-1 win over South Korea in Larnaca.

Kim Little put Scotland in the lead with a first half penalty, but they were pegged back before half-time through Yeo Min-ji's header.

Anna Signeul's side finished strongly despite the afternoon heat and Murray's goal ensured a deserved win.

The result means Scotland finish third in Group A behind Canada and Italy.

And, they will face the Netherlands on Wednesday in a chance to avenge the World Cup play-off defeat.

Scotland were boosted pre-match when Chelsea's dangerous Ji So-Yun was ruled out through illness.

Her absence did not stop the Koreans starting on the front foot, but it was Scotland ahead after 16 minutes.

Fiona Brown raced onto Hayley Lauder's pass, but was taken down in the box before getting a touch to the ball.

Little's penalty hit the roof of the net, and two minutes later it could have been 2-0 only for Lauder to shoot over after another link-up with Brown.

Goalkeeper Gemma Fay had been largely untroubled in the Scotland goal, but Yeo managed to beat her five minutes after coming on with a near post header on 34 minutes.

Love put a late header wide, but the Scots eventually found their winner when Lauder's cross was turned in by Murray with just a minute left.
