Ten-man Peterborough United moved into the League One play-off places after taking all three points against rivals Chesterfield.

Posh goalkeeper Ben Alnwick was forced to make a double save to keep out Chesterfield's Jay O'Shea early on.

But the hosts grabbed the lead when Conor Washington cleared the ball to Michael Bostwick who scuffed home.

Peterborough were reduced to ten men after the restart when defender Ricardo Santos received his second yellow card.
