Kenwyne Jones: Bournemouth sign Cardiff City striker on loan

Kenwyne Jones joined Cardiff on a swap deal from Stoke in January 2014 - with Peter Odemwingie going the other way

Bournemouth have completed the loan signing of Cardiff City striker Kenwyne Jones for the rest of the season, subject to international clearance.

He has played 36 times for Cardiff this term, scoring 13 goals, having joined the club from Stoke in January 2014.

The 30-year-old, who has also played for Sunderland and Southampton, moves to a Bournemouth side chasing promotion to the Premier League.

The Trinidad & Tobago forward has 68 international caps.

The club said in a statement: "Jones will train with Eddie Howe's squad for the first time next week following their return from a training camp in Dubai and could make his debut in the Good Friday fixture at Ipswich Town.

"The deal will run until the end of May to cover any possible involvement in the Championship play-offs."
