QPR's Les Ferdinand given one-match misconduct ban by FA
- Published
QPR director of football Les Ferdinand has been banned for one match by the Football Association for misconduct.
The 48-year-old former England striker was also fined £12,000 and banned from the changing rooms and tunnel area.
It follows an incident at the end of QPR's 2-1 home defeat by Tottenham this month, when Ferdinand was found to have used abusive language to an official.
Ferdinand, who returned to QPR in October as head of football operations, serves the ban with immediate effect.
QPR had two penalty appeals rejected by referee Craig Pawson against Spurs at Loftus Road.
That was one of five successive league defeats the Hoops have suffered, leaving them 19th in the Premier League standings, four points adrift of 17th-place Sunderland.
