A 2-0 win at Brighton & Hove Albion clinched promotion for Watford

Watford boss Slavisa Jokanovic has been named Championship manager of the month for April after his side clinched promotion to the Premier League.

Promotion rivals Middlesbrough were among the teams the Hornets beat as they won 16 points in April.

Karl Robinson won the League One award, with MK Dons securing 19 points from 21 to close in on Preston for the second automatic promotion place.

Southend's Phil Brown won the League Two award for a run of seven wins.

Brown's side did not concede a goal in April and a win over Morecambe on Saturday will clinch automatic promotion.

Defender Adam Barrett, 35, made it a double for the Shrimpers by winning the player of the month award.

Derby forward Tom Ince, 23, and 31-year-old Preston striker Jermaine Beckford won the player awards for the Championship and League One respectively.
