Reading have completed the signing of 27-year-old former Fulham striker Orlando Sa on a three-year deal.

The Portuguese player moves for an undisclosed fee from Polish side Legia Warsaw, where he was the club's top league goalscorer last season.

Sa, who has also played for FC Porto and Nacional in Portugal, becomes the Royals' first summer signing.

"He's a strong player who leads the line well with an eye for a goal," boss Steve Clarke told the club website., external

"I'm sure he will be a big asset to the squad this season."

Sa completed the paperwork on his move to the Madejski Stadium before flying back home for the birth of his new child.

He is expected to return to the country in time to join the Reading squad ahead of their pre-season tour to Thailand.
