Cuco Martina: Southampton sign FC Twente defender

Southampton have signed defender Cuco Martina from Dutch club FC Twente on a two-year contract.
The 25-year-old Curacao international will link up with the squad for a training camp in Austria this week.
"Cuco is a versatile and experienced defender," said Southampton director of football Les Reed.
"Injuries to Ryan Bertrand and Bevis Mugabi highlighted the need to bring in another defender, and Cuco is the perfect solution."
Martina played under Southampton manager Ronald Koeman's brother, Erwin, during a two-year spell at RKC Waalwijk.
Saints have sold England right-back Nathaniel Clyne to Liverpool and may not complete a permanent deal for Belgium centre-back Toby Alderweireld, who was on loan at the club last season.
Their France midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin has also been the subject of a bid from fellow Premier League club Manchester United.
