Notts County: Elliott Hewitt becomes 17th summer signing

Notts County have made former Ipswich Town defender Elliott Hewitt their 17th signing of the summer.

The Wales Under-21 international has agreed a two-year deal at Meadow Lane.

Hewitt joined Ipswich from Macclesfield in 2012, but only made four appearances for them last season and spent five months on loan at Colchester.

"I played about 20 games in League Two with Macclesfield so I know a little about it," the 21-year-old told County's website.

They begin the new season with an away game at Teddy Sheringham's Stevenage, following relegation from League One last term.
