Irish Premiership: Portadown 2-1 Warrenpoint Town
- Published
Second-half goals by Gary Twigg and Keith O'Hara saw Portadown come from behind to secure a home win over Warrenpoint Town.
After Portadown's Chris Casement had a penalty saved by Jonathan Parr, Daniel Hughes fired the visitors into the lead just before half-time.
Twigg pounced in the 47th minute to beat a slack Town defence and equalise for the Ports.
Home skipper Keith O'Hara then scored the winner with a close-range header.
O'Hara was virtually on the line when he got on the end of Ross Redman's right-wing corner to clinch the three points.
It leaves Ronnie McFall's Ports one of three teams on the maximum six points from the opening two games.
Linfield and Cliftonville have also started with two victories.
The penalty incident came in the 20th minute when Chris Ramsey was brought down. Casement struck the spot kick well but Parr dived to make an excellent save.
The Shamrock Park fans were stunned in first half stoppage-time when Hughes shot in a superb opener after his initial free-kick had been blocked by the defensive wall.
