Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Rohan Ince has signed a new contract with the Championship club.

The 22-year-old, who joined the Seagulls from Chelsea in 2013, will now remain at the Amex Stadium until the summer of 2018.

"As a club, we are determined to hold on to our young players," Brighton manager Chris Hughton said,

"Rohan has had good involvement in the first team, but is still very much in his development years."

Ince has made 78 appearances for the Sussex side, scoring four goals, since making his debut for the club in August 2013 under then-head coach Oscar Garcia.

"We are certain there is more to come from him," Hughton added.

"During his time here he has played predominantly in a defensive midfield role, but we are very keen to develop his all-round midfield play."
