Manchester City Women's Continental Cup quarter-final with Arsenal on Sunday has been postponed after City were charged with fielding an ineligible player during the group stage.

The club are accused of using a player not registered with the Football Association Women's Super League in the group match at Sunderland on 15 August.

Defending champions City won the game 3-1 and finished top of Group Two.

The club have until 17 September to respond to the charge.
