Graham Westley began life as Peterborough manager with a victory, thanks to two second-half goals in as many minutes.
Lee Angol and Chris Forrester made it seven points from three matches since the sacking of Dave Robertson.
Angol tapped in after Marcus Maddison's low shot was saved, before Forrester rifled home when Souleymane Coulibaly's effort was deflected.
Bradford lost Paul Anderson to injury to complete a disappointing afternoon.
Phil Parkinson's side are just two points above the bottom four.
